Junior outside hitter Maya Taylor of the Saint Louis volleyball team was named Atlantic 10 Conference Offensive Player of the week for Aug. 26 - Sept. 1, the league office announced Tuesday.

Taylor collected 54 kills (4.50 per set) in the Marcia E. Hamilton Classic against Middle Tennessee State, Southern Illinois and Portland State, while adding 34 digs (2.83 per set) and five service aces (0.42 per set).

Taylor began the weekend by hitting .400 (20-2-45) with 15 digs vs. Middle Tennessee State. In victories over Southern Illinois and Portland State, she registered 17 kills in both matches, while recording seven total service aces.

The Billikens are on the road for the Drake Invitational Sept. 6-7. They'll have matches against Milwaukee, Eastern Washington and Drake.
