BILLIKEN NOTES

• Saint Louis welcomes Bowling Green for a three-game series this weekend, including its home opener on Friday.
• The Billikens are 7-4 on the year and are looking to continue their winning ways, following an 11-3 victory over SIUE on Tuesday.
• SLU and Bowling Green have only met once in program history, with the Billikens taking a 6-1 victory in the Mule Mix Classic in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Feb. 18, 2012.
• Current Chicago Cubs MLB pitcher James Norwood tossed 4.0 innings with no earned runs, three hits and two strikeouts in the game.
• Newcomer Kyle Fitzgerald has collected 14 hits in just six games this season, including four multi-hit contests.
• The junior recorded four hits in the win over SIUE, going 4-for-5 with four runs scored and three RBIs.
• Fitzgerald's .913 slugging percentage ranks eighth in the NCAA.
• Corrigan Bartlett has collected a hit in all 11 games this season, including four multi-hit contests.
• With 54 in his career, right fielder Jake Garella is closing in on Saint Louis' doubles record, which is held by Mike Vigliarolo (57).
• Senior Ryan Nolan has been lights out in his three appearances from the bullpen this season.
• The right-hander has struck out 15 opposing batters in 7.2 innings of work, while surrendering no runs and just one hit.
• Nolan has two multi-inning saves on the season (2.2 IP vs. Ohio and 4.0 IP vs. North Dakota State). 
• The Billikens are, once again, projected to start three newcomers on the mound this weekend.
• Saint Louis pitching returned just 3.6 percent of its starts (2-of-55) from the 2019 season, second lowest in the nation.
• Charlie Sheehan has seen the most work of the returning pitchers, appearing in five games and throwing 11.1 innings.

• Bowling Green is 1-8 on the season, including losses in its last five games.
• Freshman Kyle Gurney leads the Falcons with a .278 batting average and 10 hits.
• Gurney has a team-leading three doubles and eight RBIs in Bowling Green's nine games.
