O'FALLON, Ill. – The Saint Louis women's swimming and diving team defeated both opponents while the SLU men's squad went 1-1 in a double dual meet with McKendree and Truman State Friday afternoon.
The Billiken women topped McKendree 155-138 and Truman State 193-87. The Billiken men downed Truman State 205-66 and fell to McKendree 209-80.
Bri Hodgkins and
Emily Leonard led the women's team with two victories apiece. Hodgkins won the 100 fly (58.04) and 200 fly (2:08.05), while Leonard captured the 500 free (5:08.56) and 1000 free (10:32.35).
Also winning events for the SLU women were
Natalie Daniel in the 200 free (1:55.55),
Tessa Horan in the 200 back (2:08.79) and
Emily Smith in the 100 back (58.46).
The men's team recorded a victory in the 400 free relay.
Joe Feder,
Wyatt Johnson,
Janssen Gamilla and
Nick Soltys clocked a winning time of 3:10.20.
Runner-up finishes were turned in by
Janssen Gamilla in the 200 fly (1:53.44),
Ethan Hoak in the 200 back (1:58.51) and
Jeddrick Gamilla in the 200 breast (2:11.06).
The Billikens return to action Saturday, Nov. 6, in a double dual vs. Evansville and Little Rock in Evansville, Ind.
