BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Saint Louis competed in the Hoosier Open at Indiana University's Gladstein Fieldhouse on Friday in its final indoor meet prior to the holiday break.
 
Among the top performers for the Billikens were Myles Gascon and Jackson Higley, who both met school records on the day. Gascon matched his own school record in the finals of the 60-meter dash, finishing third overall with a time of 6.94.
 
Higley broke the school record in the mile with a fourth-place overall time of 4:10.79. That bested Kevin Ganahl's previous school record of 4:12.82, which was set during the 2018-19 season.

The Billikens resume their indoor track and field season Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at the Graduate Classic at the University of Nebraska.
