FAIRFAX, Virginia – The Saint Louis University outdoor track and field squad won four medals and set numerous school records at the 2021 Atlantic 10 Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which were held May 1-2 at George Mason Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia.

Katie Wissing defended her A-10 title in the triple jump, winning the gold with a mark of 12.37 meters. It is the third straight triple jump title for Wissing, who won the event in the 2019 A-10 outdoor meet and 2020 A-10 indoor meet.

Ethan Erusha won his first gold medal of his career, capturing the triple jump title with a school-record leap of 15.28 meters. It was the fourth medal of his career overall.

Myles Gascon was the runner-up in the 100 meters to earn the silver. He crossed the finish line in 10.62 to set a new school record.

Matt de Haas took the bronze in the 1,500 meters, finishing in a time of 3:50.63.

Patrick Holbrook and
Danny Hopkins both just missed the podium, finishing fourth in their events, but they set school records in the process. Holbrook finished the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a school-record time of 9:19.51. In the 400 meters, Hopkins exceeded his own school record, which he set earlier in the meet in the prelims, with a time of 47.99.

Diego Collado improved his own school record in the shot put, throwing 15.82 meters.
James Baker reached 4.26 meters in the pole vault to break the school record.

The men's team placed seventh out of 12 teams, while the women were 11th out of 14 schools.
