Saint Louis defeated Western Illinois 3-1 (25-20, 18-25, 26-24, 25-14) in an exhibition match Thursday afternoon at Chaifetz Pavilion.

Emily Henken tallied a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs to lead the Billikens. The sophomore also added a match-high five service aces.

Freshman Kate Aupperle recorded a match-best 25 assists.

Emily Imo tied Henken for the match high in digs with 11.

Kennedy Davis paced the Leathernecks with 12 kills. Jessie Connell had 17 assists, while Erika Moore posted 10 digs.

The Billikens open their regular season at the Mizzou Invitational on Aug. 27, with matches against Missouri and Creighton in Columbia, Mo.
