MATCH NOTES: Saint Louis | Arkansas State | UAPB | Murray State
• Saint Louis welcomes Arkansas State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Murray State to Chaifetz Pavilion this weekend for its annual Billiken Invitational.
• The Billikens and Arkansas State square off on Friday night, while the Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Murray State matches take place on Saturday.
• The Saint Louis University Department of Athletics announced Thursday that attendance at the Billiken Invitational will be limited to a pass list only and will not be open to the public.
• Maya Taylor leads the Atlantic 10 and is 12th in the NCAA with 4.82 kills per set. The senior recorded her 16th and 17th career 20-kill matches over the weekend, including a three-set 21-kill contest at Missouri. Taylor's 21 kills were the third most nationally in a three-set match last weekend.
• Taylor added 53 kills, ninth most in the NCAA last week, to her career total, moving her to sixth all-time for the Billikens with 1,444.
• Freshman Kate Aupperle came out of the gates firing in her first collegiate action, posting 10.18 assists per set last week, ranking her first overall in the A-10 and ninth among rookies in the NCAA.
• Aupperle's 56 assists in last Sunday's match against Kansas City were the most by a Billiken rookie since two-time AVCA All-American Whitney Roth had 58 assists on Nov. 19, 2006, against Dayton.
• After leading the conference in hitting percentage last season, sophomore Jillian Mattingly picked up right where she left off. Mattingly hit for a .388 percentage in last weekend's matches, good enough for second in the league.
• Emily Henken, the A-10's third-ranked service aces per set leader last season, posted a career-high five service aces in SLU's three-set sweep over Missouri last Friday.
• Senior Sara Daniels hit for a career-best .733 hitting percentage against Kansas City last Sunday, tallying 11 kills on 15 attempts and no errors.
