MATCH NOTES: Saint Louis | Davidson | VCU
• Saint Louis heads East to open Atlantic 10 Conference play this weekend, first visiting Davidson on Friday, followed by VCU on Sunday.
• Both matches will be streamed to ESPN+.
• The Billikens wrap up a nine-match road stretch with the two contests this weekend.
• SLU leads the all-time series 12-2 over Davidson. The Billikens are riding a seven-match winning streak against the Wildcats, including taking all three of last season's encounters. In those three matches, Maya Taylor posted 4.70 kills per set, on a .284 hitting percentage, with five service aces.
• VCU holds a 12-4 edge over the Billikens in all-time meetings. The Rams came away victorious in two of the three matches last season.
• The Billikens were picked to finish third in the A-10 Preseason Poll, while VCU was tabbed second and Davidson sixth.
• Saint Louis held the second best winning percentage (.538) among league teams in nonconference play, trailing only Dayton (6-5, .545).
• Jillian Mattingly boasts a .416 hitting percentage, ranking her first in the league and 25th nationally. Of those ranked in the top 25, she ranks fourth in kills (122) and third in attack attempts (233). Mattingly is just one-of-six underclassmen on the list.
• Saint Louis' 2.28 blocks per set this season are the most a Billiken team has posted since the 2011 squad averaged 2.36. Mattingly sits second in the conference and 96th nationally with 1.17 per set, while Daniels is fifth in the league with an average of 0.95.
• SLU's 18.5 blocks last weekend against Northern Colorado were the most by a Billiken team since Nov. 13, 2005, at Rhode Island.
• Sophomore Emily Henken leads the A-10 and is 52nd in the NCAA with 0.49 aces per set. She leads a Billiken team that ranks 15th nationally in that category, with 2.02 per set.
• The Billikens are posting the most service aces per set (2.02) a SLU team has recorded since the 1995 squad averaged 2.15. The team's 99 total service aces are third most in the NCAA.
• Taylor ranks fifth in the conference with 3.61 kills per set.
• Kate Aupperle and Abby Lynn have led the Billikens to a league-best 12.24 assists per set. That number ranks 64th nationally.
• SLU is second in the A-10 and 29th in the NCAA with 750 total digs.
