BLOOMINGTON, Indiana – Saint Louis continued its indoor track and field season this weekend at the Gladstein Invitational, held at Indiana University.
The meet was a non team-scored event. Several Billikens achieved personal bests during the meet, and the Billikens posted the following top-five finishes.
Megan Kress won the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:53.32, a personal best.
Emily Nichols won the 400 meters with a time of 59.59.
Katie Wissing and
Susan D'Onofrio were fourth and fifth in the triple jump with marks of 38-9.75 and 37-11.25, respectively.
Emily Sipp placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 18:35.24.
On the men's side, the Billikens finished one-two in the triple jump, as
Jayden Kouadio placed first with a mark of 47-3, followed by
Evan Bruenderman's second-place finish with a leap of 45-4.5.
Diego Collado was third in the weight throw, finishing with a distance of 57-0.75.
Adam Walker turned in a fourth-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:38.37.
Danny Hopkins placed fifth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.52, while
Malik Stewart placed fifth overall in the 800 meters with a time of 1:55.29.
The Billikens take next weekend off and return to action at the Meyo Invitational at the University of Notre Dame Feb. 4-5.
