BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Saint Louis broke a pair of school records in the final indoor track and field meet before the semester break this past weekend at the Hoosier Open on the campus of Indiana University.

Toby Gillen broke the school record in the 3,000 meters, finishing third with a time of 8:12.47. Hiob Gebisso held the record previously when he ran the 3,000 in 8:18.84 in February of 2017.

Malik Stewart is the new school-record holder in the 1,000 meters after a fourth-place finish with a time of 2:27.75. That bettered the previous record held by
Colton Nettleton (2:29.78) and set in December of 2018.

Emily Nichols placed second in both the 200 meters (25.86) and 400 meters (58.21).
Danny Hopkins took home the individual crown in the 400 meters with a time of 49.62.

In the men's 200 meters,
Will Stewart (22.41) and
Danny Hopkins (22.63) placed second and fourth, respectively.

In the mile,
Lyndi Roelofse (5:11.61) and
Nicole Marco (5:15.93) finished third and fourth in the women's race, respectively.
Harrison Martinenko (4:14.35) placed third in the men's competition.

Carly Sear and
Emily Sipp were first and second in the women's 5,000 meters with times of 18:04.90 and 18:30.72, respectively.
Patrick Donovan was second in the men's race with a time of 14:55.25.

The men's 4x400-meter relay of
Danny Hopkins,
Malik Stewart,
Luke Schaefer and
Aidan Martin finished second with a time of 3:22.19.

The women's 4x400-meter relay, comprised of
Emily Nichols,
Patricia O'Neill,
Abby Kieffer and
Zora Williams placed third in a time 4:02.31.
