• For the third time in the past four years Saint Louis opens its season with games inside the Hoover Metropolitan Complex in Hoover, Ala.
• The Billikens lead the all-time series 4-0 over Bowling Green, including a three-game series sweep over the Falcons before COVID-19 shut the season down in March of 2020.
• 15th-year head coach Darin Hendrickson welcomes back 19 players from last year's squad who finished 17-31 overall, while also welcoming in 12 newcomers. Of the newcomers on the team, eight are transfers and four are freshmen.
• Hendrickson has a 417-330-1 record with the Billikens. Entering his 27th season, he holds a career mark of 907-504-1.
• The Billikens open the year with eight road/neutral site contests, before coming home to Billiken Sports Center for 11 of their following 12 matchups.
• Cam Redding was labeled a Top 50 catcher on D1 Baseball's preseason power rankings list. The junior hit .322 a season ago with 23 extra-base hits and 47 RBIs.
• Redding was tabbed the eighth-best MLB draft prospect in the A-10 by D1 Baseball, while RHP Ryan Patel was picked 11th.
• The Billikens return their top-five leaders in batting average from a season ago. Redding led the team, followed by Colten Schild (.301), Tyler Fogarty (.294), Kyle Fitzgerald (.285) and Cole Smith (.283).
• Fitzgerald was second on the squad with 18 extra-base hits, including five home runs.
• LHP Grant Fremion, RHP Logan Schmitt and LHP Trevor Harris are the expected starting pitchers for the Billikens.
• Harris led the team in ERA and innings pitched and was second in strikeouts last season.
