Iffrig, who hit the first grand slam of his career, gave SLU a 5-3 lead in the top of the ninth.
The Patriots threatened in the bottom half of the inning, loading the bases with one out, but grounded into a double play to end the game.
Charlie Weber earned his fourth win of the season, throwing 3.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts and allowing two hits.
Owen Kelly started for the Billikens and recorded five strikeouts.
