WASHINGTON – Four Saint Louis University baseball players earned All-Atlantic 10 Conference honors, the league announced Wednesday morning.

Ethan Sitzman was named the A-10 Defensive Player of the Year. Riley Iffrig and Owen Kelly were selected to the All-Conference Second Team, while Hank Gomric earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team.

Sitzman stood out defensively, posting a .986 fielding percentage with 90 putouts and 117 assists. He helped turn 31 double plays, including 16 in conference play, and committed only one error on 122 chances against A-10 opponents. Overall, he made just three errors in 210 total chances. Sitzman ranked ninth in the conference in assists and sixth in double plays turned.

Iffrig made an immediate impact in his first season as a Billiken, leading the team with a .347 batting average, 58 RBIs, a 1.014 OPS and a .461 on-base percentage. He recorded 18 doubles (sixth in the A-10), one triple and seven home runs, while slugging .553. Iffrig also stole six bases in seven attempts. Defensively, he ranked sixth in the conference with 360 putouts and eighth in double plays turned with 30.

Kelly served as SLU's Friday starter throughout the season, posting a 6-2 record with a 4.58 ERA over 74.2 innings. He struck out 73 batters and walked 28. In conference play, the right-hander went 4-2 with a 4.37 ERA, recording 50 strikeouts and 20 walks while allowing 27 earned runs. Opponents batted .261 against him.

Gomric batted .311 with an .839 OPS and a .400 on-base percentage. He tallied six doubles, one triple and five home runs while driving in 37 runs. He slugged .439 and went 9-for-10 in stolen base attempts. Defensively, Gomric recorded a .991 fielding percentage with 110 putouts in 113 chances. He was the only freshman in the A-10 to earn Player of the Week honors this season.
