WASHINGTON – Saint Louis sophomore Sam Lamaze was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Performer of the Week for indoor track and field, the league announced.
Lamaze broke his own indoor school record in the 400 meters last week at the Show-Me Showdown at the University of Missouri. He won the event in a time of 47.34, the fastest time in the A-10 and 20th-best in the NCAA this season.
It is the third weekly honor of Lamaze's career after being named Rookie of the Week twice last season, once in the indoor season and once in the outdoor campaign.
Lamaze and the Billikens are back at the University of Missouri for the Bob Teel Invitational Jan. 23-24. Â
