LINCOLN, Neb. - Saint Louis track and field surpassed seven school records Saturday at the Frank Sevigne Invitational at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Neb. It was the final regular-season meet of the season for the Billikens.

"Overall, I was satisfied with the meet," SLU head coach Jon Bell said. "I thought we took steps in the right direction; however I think we could have taken some bigger steps. I am happy with where we are as we head into the conference meet in two weeks."

Brian Holdmeyer was one of the SLU performers who broke a school record, as he breezed through the field in the 3,000 meters and finished first with a time of 8:38.72. That bested the previous school record by 10 seconds.

Also achieving a school record on the men's side was Jordan Jennings in the 800 meters. He finished eighth in the closely contested event with a time of 1:55.97, which bettered his own school record set earlier this season.

On the women's side, three individuals and two relay squads posted school records on the day. Brigette Schutzman. McCarthy ended up finishing sixth in the event with a time of 2:16.82. Right on her tail was teammate Maddie O'Quinn, who finished seventh with a time of 2:17.52.

Sara Fraley also broke a school record that stood for two years. In the 1,000 meters, she crossed the line third overall with a time of 2:58.42.

Mary Moloney's record set last season.

The women's 4x400-meter relay and Distance Medley Relay set school records on the day. The 4x400, which finished fifth overall with a school record-time of 3:57.81, was comprised of Kalie Kirk and Mallory Dugger.

The DMR squad placed third overall with a time of 12:06.88 and included Jenna Romano, O'Quinn, McCarthy and Fraley.

Several Billikens also competed at the Bob Keck Invitational at Illinois Wesleyan Invitational. Those results can be found here when available.

Next up for SLU is the A-10 Championships, which begin Feb. 19 at the University of Rhode Island.
