ST. LOUIS - Saint Louis redshirt freshman Alex Alemann tossed a complete game to lead the Billikens to a 6-1 victory against Temple Saturday in Atlantic 10 Conference baseball action at The Billiken Sports Center.

Alemann was perfect through four innings and yielded base runners in only the fifth and ninth innings. He allowed just one run on three hits in nine innings while striking out five. It was Alemann's second straight complete-game victory, and he improves to 5-3 with the win.

Offensively, SLU received solo homers from junior third baseman J.D. Dunn. The Bills also scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth to pad the lead.

Myers' homer, his ninth of the season, came in the fourth inning with one out to put SLU on top 1-0. Dunn homered with two outs in the bottom of the fifth to give the Billikens a two-run advantage. It was the fourth home run of the season for Dunn.

The Billikens broke the game open in the sixth. Senior first baseman Danny Brock stroked a one-out single, and came around to score on a Myers double to right center to make it 3-0. Senior catcher Ben Braaten plated Myers with a single to make it a 4-0 game. Following a pitching change, redshirt freshman designated hitter Steve Fernandez drove in Braaten with an RBI base knock. Freshman shortstop Mike Levine completed the scoring by platting Fernandez on a fielder's choice, giving SLU a 6-0 lead.

Alemann entered the ninth with a one-hitter and the shutout intact, but Temple recorded a double and a subsequent sacrifice fly to end Alemann's shutout bid.
