Billikens Drop Game One to Milwaukee

Box Score

ST. LOUIS - The Billikens dropped the first of three games against Milwaukee, 0-4. Senior Alex Alemann takes the loss in the contest, but still has a 5-2 record on the season. Saint Louis falls to 23-11 overall.

The Milwaukee ace, Jake Long, stymied the SLU lineup, holding the Bills to five hits in the contest. It was the lowest hit total for the Saint Louis offense since March 12 against Western Illinois. Freshman Braxton Martinez led the squad with a two-for-three performance. Michael Bozarth went one-for-three with a double.

The loss snaps a six-game winning streak for Saint Louis. However, a single in the fifth extended Mike Levine's hitting streak to 12 games. Senior Alex Kelly was kept off base for only the third time this season.

Game two between the Billikens and Panthers will take place tomorrow, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. at the Billiken Sports Center.
