Box Score CHARLESTON, Ill. - Saint Louis baseball fell to Eastern Illinois 13-4 at Coaches Park in Charleston, Ill. Josh Moore (4-3) was hit with the loss. The Billikens fall to 28-16 overall.
The Panthers scored three times in the second, and once in the third to take a 3-0 lead through three.
In the fourth, Jake Henson scored on an RBI groundout from Josh Bunselmeyer for SLU's first run of the game. However, Eastern Illinois scored in the bottom of the frame to bring the score to 5-1.
Eastern Illinois scored a pair in the sixth to draw the score to 6-1.
Bunselmeyer struck again in the seventh with a solo home run to deep right field. It was his seventh round-tripper of the year. The Panthers scored in the bottom of the sixth. Heading to the eighth, the Billikens trailed 8-2.
Saint Louis rallied in the eighth, scoring two runs on a homer from Mike Vigliarolo, his second of the year. However, the Panthers plated five more runs in the bottom of the eighth to get a 13-4 lead.
Next up for the Billikens is a three-game series against VCU at home. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. at the Billiken Sports Center on May 1.
