THE BASICS
• Sadie Wise homered and doubled, and Kayla Swiderski had two hits in Saint Louis' 11-2 loss to Iowa State Friday afternoon at the Billiken Sports Center.
• SLU slipped to 5-10, while Iowa State improved to 20-5.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
• Iowa State scored one run in the first inning, two in the third, four in the fourth and two in the fifth for a 9-0 lead.
• Saint Louis scored its two runs in the fifth. Pinch hitter Kelsey Etling drew a leadoff walk, and Wise's two-out, two-run home run plated pinch runner Tabby Cacheris.
• Iowa State added two tallies in the sixth.
 
BILLIKEN NOTABLES
• Kat Lane and Maria Connell had a single apiece.
• Wise is 7-for-14 with seven RBI over her last four games. She now leads the team with 12 RBI.
• Swiderski raised her batting average to .367
