Connoyer Era Highlights

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE CONNOYER ERA

2024 – Saint Louis earned an A-10 Championship first-round bye for a second straight year after tying for second in the A-10 regular-season standings. The Billikens finished as the tournament's runner-up for a second time during Connoyer's tenure. Isabel Royle was tabbed A-10 Rookie of the Year. Alex Nickel was inducted into the Billiken Hall of Fame.

2023 – Connoyer was named A-10 Coach of the Year after steering SLU to the A-10 regular-season championship, the first league title in program history. Saint Louis' 20 victories and .800 winning percentage in conference play set school records. Included in the victory total were then-school records for longest winning streak (12) and longest A-10 regular-season winning streak (11). SLU claimed a program-record nine A-10 postseason honors, placing three on the first team to tie the 2019 Billikens for the most first-team performers in program history.

2022 – Brianna Lore was inducted into the Billiken Hall of Fame. Sadie Wise was named a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award.

2021 – Sadie Wise was named SLU's Outstanding Female Senior Student-Athlete and was the athletics department's NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.

2019 – Saint Louis placed three players (Sadie Wise, Kat Lane, Gabbie Kowalik) on the All-Conference first team for the first time, and Kowalik became the first Billiken to garner conference Rookie of the Year honors. Kristin Nicoletti was inducted into the Billiken Hall of Fame.

2018 – Sadie Wise became the first SLU freshman to make the A-10 All-Conference first team, as well as the first Billiken freshman to collect All-Region laurels when she was chosen to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Mid-Atlantic third team. Wise also was a top-25 candidate for the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I Freshman of the Year Award. She joined Alyssa Chavez and Kat Lane on the A-10 All-Rookie squad as SLU placed three players on the list for the first time in program history.

2016 – Brianna Lore was selected SLU's Outstanding Female Senior Student-Athlete and was a Senior CLASS Award candidate.

2015 – The Billikens registered school records for wins (36) and winning percentage (36-18, .667) and finished second in the A-10 regular-season standings with an 18-5 league mark. The 18 victories and .783 winning percentage in conference play were program records until 2023. SLU also set program records in 10 offensive categories, many by wide margins over the previous standards. Alex Nickel (first team) and Brianna Lore (third team) were named All-Region, giving the Billikens two All-Region honorees for the first time in program history. Nickel was the first SLU player to collect first-team honors, while Lore became the first Billiken to repeat on the All-Region squad after garnering a second-team nod in 2014. In All-Conference balloting, Lindsay Friedman's selection to the first team, along with the inclusion of Nickel, Lore and Josie Knesel on the second team, gave Saint Louis four first- or second-team All-Conference players for the first time. Friedman also was SLU's NCAA Woman of the Year nominee and Outstanding Female Senior Student-Athlete as well as a Senior CLASS Award candidate.

2014 – Saint Louis won 30 games – equaling what was then the school record – and posted A-10 runner-up finishes in the regular season and at the A-10 Championship. Brianna Lore was named A-10 co-Pitcher of the Year, the first such honor for a Billiken hurler.

2013 – The Billikens won 11 of their last 15 conference games to earn a spot in the A-10 Championship for the first time since 2010.

2011 – Connoyer became the first coach in program history to register a winning record (29-24) in her first season. Kristin Nicoletti was named a candidate for the Senior CLASS Award.
